The Poker Alice House, Poker's Palace, is both a comfortable place to hang your hat and a unique piece of history. 'Poker' Alice Ivers Tubbs lived in Sturgis, SD toward the end of her life. She is perhaps the best known female poker player in the Old West. During her time in Western South Dakota, she played poker, ran games, sold liquor during prohibition and ran a house of 'ill repute'.
